Check where the break is first
The kit repairs a float arm that has failed above the sweep hose connection. That is the common failure, and this part replaces the damaged length. If the arm has broken below the sweep hose connection, the repair is not possible and the complete frame is the correct part to order. Look at the cleaner before you order rather than after.
How the repair goes
Cut the damaged float arm off squarely, leaving enough of the original arm behind for the replacement to bond against, then glue the new piece into position. Take the time to get the cut even. A clean, square cut is what makes the joint strong and keeps the arm pointing where it should.
