Product details

The Polaris D31 is the hose barb and strainer housing for the Polaris 180 pool cleaner. It is the genuine part, molded in clear plastic, and it comes as one piece with the barb and the housing together.

What it does

The housing is where the cleaner hose ties into the unit and where the strainer sits in the water path. Because it is clear, you can see whether the strainer is loaded with debris without taking anything apart. A housing that has cracked or split at the barb lets water escape before it reaches the cleaner, and a 180 losing pressure that way sweeps slowly or wanders instead of running its pattern.

Before you order

This is the housing only. The tube strainer that fits inside is a separate Polaris part, so replace both if the strainer is also damaged. Match the part number on your existing housing first, since Polaris cleaner families do not share the same fittings.
