⌄The Polaris G62 is the genuine complete back-up valve kit in black for the 280, 380 and 480 BlackMax pressure cleaners. It fits inline on the feed hose and is the part that keeps the cleaner from parking itself in a corner.
How it works
About every 3 minutes the valve opens for about 30 seconds. The jet of water pulls the cleaner backward, freeing it from steps, corners and tight spots and sending it off in a new direction. That regular reversing is what gives the cleaner full coverage of the pool.
When to replace it
If the cleaner gets stuck and stays there, or you never see it back up, the valve has usually stopped cycling. The G62 is the whole assembly, so it swaps in without rebuilding the old one. The feed hose itself is sold separately.
