What an ozone generator does
Ozone is a strong oxidizer. As pool water circulates past the unit, ozone attacks organic contaminants in that stream, which lightens the work the sanitizer has to do. Ozone does not persist in the pool the way chlorine does, so it is used alongside a residual sanitizer rather than in place of one.
Installation
The unit mounts at the equipment pad and is plumbed into the circulation system. Because it accepts either supply voltage, it can be fitted to pads wired for 120V or 240V. Follow the manufacturer literature for placement, plumbing and electrical connection.
