Product details

The Paramount Clear O3 is an ozone generator for swimming pools, part number 004402388100, built to run on either 120V or 240V.

What an ozone generator does

Ozone is a strong oxidizer. As pool water circulates past the unit, ozone attacks organic contaminants in that stream, which lightens the work the sanitizer has to do. Ozone does not persist in the pool the way chlorine does, so it is used alongside a residual sanitizer rather than in place of one.

Installation

The unit mounts at the equipment pad and is plumbed into the circulation system. Because it accepts either supply voltage, it can be fitted to pads wired for 120V or 240V. Follow the manufacturer literature for placement, plumbing and electrical connection.

What voltage does it need?
Either 120V or 240V. The unit covers both.
Does ozone replace chlorine?
No. Ozone works on the water passing through the system and leaves no residual behind in the pool, so a sanitizer is still needed. The point of an ozone generator is to reduce the load on it.
