This Paramount package pairs the 203V ClearO3 ozone oxidizer with the 230V Ultra UV2 ultraviolet sanitizer and one UV-C lamp. Paramount lists it under part number 006-422-0030-00, also written 006422003000.

What ozone does for the water

Ozone actively breaks down the non living waste products in pool water. Left alone, those wastes combine with chlorine to form by products that can irritate skin and have been linked to asthma and other complaints. Removing them lets the chlorine in the pool work more effectively as a disinfectant, and Paramount puts the reduction in chemical demand at up to 60 percent. A recommended minimum level of chlorine or bromine must still be maintained at all times.

How it is built

A proprietary flow meter sets the ideal flow of air for efficient ozone production, which is how the system reaches a high ozone concentration without loading the pool equipment. The only by product of the ozone itself is oxygen, and the system does not require routine maintenance.

A single unit works effectively on pools up to 55,000 gallons. Note the voltages before ordering: the ClearO3 unit is the 203V version and the Ultra UV2 is 230V.
