Product details

The Paramount Clear O3 is an ozone system for residential pools. It adds ozone to the return water so the pool needs far less chemical, and what chlorine remains works more effectively as a disinfectant. Paramount puts the chemical reduction at up to 70 percent.

Built to live on the pad

The body is extruded aluminum with fiber filled resin end caps, a construction chosen to survive years next to a pump and heater. The cylindrical chamber inside is shaped for maximum ozone generation and is completely sealed, which keeps the unit both effective and safe around the pool. Radiant heat ribs along the body dissipate heat so output stays at peak even in hot operating conditions.

Maintenance

The side panel is removable. That makes routine service and lamp replacement a quick job rather than a teardown.

Sizing

Paramount rates the Clear O3 for pools up to 40,000 gallons. Ozone supplements a residual sanitizer; it does not replace one entirely.

How big a pool will it handle?
Paramount rates the Clear O3 for pools up to 40,000 gallons. The product name also lists 50K gallons, so if your pool is at the upper end, check the Paramount manual for the sizing table.
Does it replace chlorine?
No. Ozone reduces the chemical demand by up to 70 percent and lets the chlorine that remains work more effectively, but a residual sanitizer is still needed.
Is it safe to have ozone on the equipment pad?
The ozone chamber is completely sealed to minimize leakage, and the housing is built from extruded aluminum with resin end caps to stand up to the equipment environment.
How is the bulb replaced?
The side panel is removable, so the lamp can be swapped without pulling the unit off the plumbing.
