The Paramount EDC is a debris canister for the equipment pad. It goes into the suction plumbing ahead of the circulation pump and catches leaves and debris coming off the spa, skimmer and main drain lines before any of it reaches the pump basket or the filter.
Why it sits at the pad
Keeping the canister at the equipment pad means one place to check and one place to empty, rather than fishing debris out of the pump pot. The basket is oversize, so the interval between emptyings is longer than a pump strainer would give you. Bayonet handles release the lid and lift the basket out without tools.
Lid and construction
The lid is clear and pressure safe, so the basket level is visible at a glance and no separate deck lid is needed above it. The body is molded in weather and UV resistant thermoplastic for outdoor life at the pad, and the design is aimed at high flow with low pressure loss.
