Product details

The Paramount 004-652-4956-10 (004652495610) is the medium gray RetroJet replacement nozzle for A&A QuickClean 2 in-floor pool cleaning systems. It installs into the existing collar in the pool floor with no new reaming and comes with a pack of three twist-lock caps.

Fit

Paramount lists the 004-652-4956 series for A&A QuickClean 2 nozzles, which it dates to about 1992. QuickClean 1 and Gamma 3 heads take different RetroJets, 004-652-4955 and 004-652-4957. Every RetroJet needs at least 5 in. of PVC pipe depth under the nozzle, so pull one old nozzle and measure first. Some A&A QuickClean step and bench nozzles were plumbed with 1 in. diameter pipe, and the RetroJet will not fit those.

Installation

Work on one nozzle at a time. The old nozzle unlocks with a quarter turn counterclockwise using the removal tool made for it. Because the system is hydraulically balanced, choose the cap whose opening is closest to the old nozzle and turn it clockwise until it snaps on. Press the RetroJet onto the three prongs of the Paramount installation tool, part 004-652-5422-00, lower it into the collar and turn it a quarter turn clockwise to lock. Let the system run through a cleaning cycle to confirm the nozzle is working.

Color

The -10 ending means medium gray. Paramount also makes this nozzle in white (-01), black (-03), beige (-07) and cream (-09), and marks the RetroJet line as made in the USA.
