Product details

This is the RetroJet nozzle for the Pool Valet in floor cleaning system, part number 006-502-4714-01. It is the head that pops up out of the pool floor, sweeps debris toward the main drain and drops back down.

When to replace one

In floor heads wear from the inside. A nozzle that no longer rotates through its arc, or one that stays stuck up or stuck down, leaves a dead patch of floor that starts holding dirt. That patch is usually the first sign, before anyone looks at the head itself.

Ordering

This listing is a single nozzle. A Pool Valet system runs a circuit of heads, so it is worth checking each port and ordering the number you actually need. A nozzle removal tool and an installation tool for this job are sold separately.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

What system is this nozzle for?
The Pool Valet in floor cleaning system. It is the RetroJet nozzle, part 006-502-4714-01.
How many do I get?
One nozzle. In floor systems run several heads, so check how many of your ports are worn or stuck before ordering.
Do I need a special tool to change it?
A Pool Valet nozzle removal tool and an installation tool are made for this job and are sold separately.
How do I know a nozzle has failed?
A healthy head rises, sweeps its arc and retracts. One that stays down, stays up or no longer rotates is done, and the floor it used to cover will show debris.
