Product details

The Caretaker 3-9-507 is a bayonet style cleaning head in light gray, for the Caretaker In-Floor Cleaning System. It is supplied as the head on its own.

How the system uses it

An in-floor system works by sending pressurized water to a set of heads set into the pool floor. Each one rises, sweeps its arc, and drops back flush. That is what keeps dirt and debris moving toward the drain instead of settling. Every head is responsible for its own patch of floor.

Head only

The collar in the floor stays where it is. This head is a bayonet fitting that snaps into it, which means the replacement is a job you do standing in the pool with no tools. Confirm the fitting style before ordering, since the styles do not cross over.

Match the color you already have

This one is light gray. The same head is made in other colors, and mixing them shows, so check what is already in your floor before you order a set.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Does this include the collar or the body in the floor?
No. This is the cleaning head only. It goes into the collar that is already installed in your pool floor.
What color is it?
Light gray. Caretaker offers the same head in other colors, so pick the one that matches the heads already in your pool.
How does it install?
It is a bayonet style head that snaps into place, so it goes in without tools once the old one is removed.
How do I know a head has failed?
If it no longer pops up under pressure, does not rotate, or is visibly worn at the nozzle, that section of floor stops getting swept and debris starts collecting in the same spot.
