Product details

This is the genuine Caretaker filter bag, part number 3-9-123, supplied complete with its poly ring. It fits LeafTrapper units built after July 1999 and measures 7-1/4 inches across by 12 inches deep.

What the bag does

The LeafTrapper sits ahead of the pump and takes the coarse load out of the water: leaves, twigs, blossom and the rest of what the cleaner sweeps up. The bag is what actually holds that debris. The poly ring keeps the mouth of the bag open and seated correctly in the canister so water passes through the fabric instead of around it.

When to change it

Bags are consumable. A tear along a seam, a thin patch that lets leaves through, or a ring that has lost its shape all mean debris is reaching the pump basket and the filter. Replacing the bag restores the trap and keeps the rest of the system clean.
