Product details

The Polaris Caretaker 5-9-2001 is the genuine OEM rebuild kit for the Caretaker 5 port water valve, the distribution valve at the heart of a Caretaker in floor cleaning system.

Rebuild, do not replace

The water valve is what steps pressure around the pop up heads so each zone gets its turn. It works hard and its wearing parts eventually let by, which shows up as weak heads or zones that never quite come up. A rebuild kit puts those parts back to new without disturbing the plumbing, which is a much smaller job than swapping the valve itself.

Get the port count right

Caretaker valves come in different port counts and the kits are not interchangeable. This one is the 5 port kit. Count the outlets on your valve before you order.

A note on the name

The system was originally built by Caretaker Systems. The line went to Polaris and Jandy and now belongs to Zodiac, which is why the same parts show up under several brand names.
