Product details

This is the RetroClean replacement in-floor cleaning head in pure white, listed for use with the Caretaker in-floor pool cleaning system.

How the head works

An in-floor system runs on heads set flush into the pool floor. Water pressure lifts each one, it fires a jet that sweeps debris toward the main drain, then it drops back level with the plaster and the next zone takes its turn. That cycle runs thousands of times over a season, which is why the heads themselves are treated as a replacement item and the plumbing under them is not.

Spotting a bad head

A head that has stopped rising to full height, no longer indexes to its next position, or seeps around the collar will leave an obvious unswept patch of floor while the rest of the pool stays clean. Compare it against the other heads in the same zone before you pull it.
