The Filter Flosser is a cleaning tool for pleated cartridge filter elements. It produces a powerful, evenly dispersed spray that gets down between the pleats, working like a water pick on the media.
What it actually does
Alongside the spray it sets up a water and air agitation action, and that is what shifts dirt deposits sitting deep in the cartridge. A plain hose nozzle rinses the tops of the pleats and leaves the base of the folds packed, which is why a cartridge can look clean and still run high pressure.
Where it fits in the routine
Use it for the regular clean between soaks. Oils and mineral scale still need a chemical soak to release, but debris and dirt are what block a cartridge day to day, and clearing those properly is what keeps the element working to its rated area.
