Product details
The Pool Blok PB-80 is a small block of 100 percent natural pumice for cleaning pool tile and concrete. It floats, so a dropped block waits on the surface instead of settling in the deep end.
What it takes off
Pumice works on the deposits that collect at the waterline: lime and calcium scale, rust marks, general staining and dried algae. It clears scale that has resisted strong acid cleaners, and it does it without any chemistry, so the stone will not shift pool pH or leave anything behind in the water.
Where to use it, and where not to
It is made for ceramic tile and for molded or pneumatic formed concrete. Pumice cuts by abrading, which is exactly why it works on hard surfaces and why it does not belong on soft ones. Keep it off vinyl liners, fiberglass and painted surfaces, and test a small hidden spot first if you are unsure what your tile can take.
