The Pentair R201476 is the No. 192 snap-adapt handle, an ABS vacuum head handle with a Delrin spring clip, listed for the Pentair 250 and 252 swivel wheel flexible vacuums, the ProVac 214R and 222R, and the 196 Clear View vacuum.

What it does

The handle is the joint between the vacuum head and the pole. Its spring clip, made of Delrin acetal resin, snaps into a standard telescopic pole so the head goes on and comes off without tools. Pentair notes the clip can also be taken out and the handle bolted to the pole for a fixed connection. A cracked handle or a clip that no longer locks is the usual reason to replace it, since the head can twist or pull off the pole while you vacuum.

Fit

Pentair shows R201476 in the parts breakdowns for the 250 and 252 swivel wheel vacuums, the ProVac 214R and 222R, and the 196 and 196LW Clear View vacuums, and its catalog describes the No. 192 as fitting all vacuums and telescopic poles. The ProVac 214, 222 and 229 without the R take the No. 152 metal swivel handle, R201408, instead.

This listing is the handle on its own. On the 250, 252, 214R and 222R, Pentair lists the handle nut and bolt as R201496, and on the 196 the handle uses a 2-1/4 in. connecting pin, R03101. The spring clip is sold alone as R22001Z. Pentair also packs the No. 192 handle with a 2-1/4 in. pin as R201492 or with a 1-3/4 in. pin as R201490.
