Product details

The Pentair 229940 is the Style 2 plastic installation tool, a three prong tool made for Style 2 pop-up heads in an in floor cleaning system.

What it does

Pop-up heads sit flush in the pool floor and have to come out for cleaning and replacement. The three prongs on this tool engage the head evenly and turn it, so the head lifts instead of binding on one side. The same tool sets a new head back in and holds it while you clean debris out of the nozzle.

Why the right tool pays for itself

Heads are routinely broken by whatever was to hand, usually a screwdriver or a pair of pliers, and a broken head is a much larger job than a stuck one. The tool is plastic on purpose: it grips without scratching or deforming the collar, and one tool serves every Style 2 head in the pool.
