Product details

The Hayward SP3100T is the factory removal tool for the 6-1/2 inch strainer lid used on select Super II series pool pumps. It is a purpose made tool, not a generic strap wrench.

The problem it solves

A strainer lid tightens itself through a season of heat cycling and pressure, and by autumn it will not move by hand. The usual response is a screwdriver against a lug, which concentrates all the force at one point and is how lids end up cracked. A cracked lid leaks air, the pump loses prime, and a small job turns into a new lid and a new o-ring.

Fit before you order

This tool is sized for the 6-1/2 inch lid. Measure across the top of your lid first. Hayward also lists this tool alongside the C250CF and C500CF chlorine feeder parts, so it turns up under more than one product family.

Which lid does this tool fit?
