Product details

The Fiberstars FS-117 is the lens tightening tool for Fiberstars lighting. It exists so that a lens can be seated and brought up without anything sharp or hard touching it.

Why a dedicated tool

Lenses are the part of a light fixture least tolerant of improvisation. Pliers, screwdrivers and channel locks all put load into one small spot, and glass and molded plastic answer that with a chip or a crack. A tool made for the lens spreads the effort and lets you tighten evenly, which is what the seal actually needs.

What is this tool for?
Tightening a lighting lens. It gives you a proper grip on the lens so it can be seated and brought up evenly.
Why not just use pliers?
Because pliers concentrate force on one point of the lens. That is how lenses get chipped, scratched or cracked, and a replacement lens costs far more than the tool.
