The Fiberstars CLSLL is the large Color Light Stream laminar, a lighted water feature with a color changing LED built into the unit. Each one comes with a deck box and an LED light driver carrying 100 ft of 12V cable.
Direct drive LED, no fiber
Earlier lighted laminars ran their color from a fiber optic illuminator sitting somewhere at the equipment pad, with fiber run out to each jet. The Light Stream carries its own LED instead, so features can be installed individually wherever they are wanted. All that is needed is a 12VAC power supply. Losing the fiber also lifts the light output.
Colors and control
Six colors, white, blue, green, red, amber and purple, plus a color change mode and a disco effect. The units are synchronizable, so a run of laminars along a wall or a bench holds the same color and changes together.
Water supply matters
A laminar makes its glass smooth arc by passing water through fine internal screens, and those screens are unforgiving about debris. Sand and DE filters shed small particles that will clog them, so the supply to the laminars should be filtered with a cartridge filter. A drain must also be installed. Get those two things right at rough in and the feature stays trouble free.
