This is the Paramount removal tool for Pool Valet head nozzles, part 004-502-5420-00. It is a new OEM Paramount part.
What it does
Pool Valet nozzles sit flush in the pool floor and pop up under pressure to sweep debris toward the drain. That flush fit is deliberate, and it leaves almost nothing to grab when a nozzle needs to come out. This tool engages the head properly so it lifts straight out of the fitting.
Why not improvise
Pulling a pop up head with pliers or a screwdriver usually ends with a cracked nozzle, a scratched floor fitting, or both, and the repair costs more than the tool. Nozzles come out often enough for cleaning and for checking rotation that the tool earns its place in the kit rather than being a one time purchase.
