What the valve does

On an in-floor cleaning system the actuator valve is what sends water to one group of floor heads at a time and then steps to the next. Everything the system does depends on that valve turning cleanly and sealing between ports. When it starts skipping, stalling or passing water to zones that should be off, the wearing parts inside are usually the cause.

Rebuild first

A service kit is far cheaper than a new valve and, on a valve whose body is still sound, it is the right repair. This kit is specific to the 6-port top feed version, so confirm the port count on your valve before ordering.
