Product details
The Jandy 4720 is the genuine NeverLube diverter kit. It covers NeverLube valves in the 1.5" to 2" and the 2" to 2.5" sizes, and it is the part to order when the valve body is fine but the switching is not.
Why the diverter goes first
Inside every NeverLube valve, the diverter is the piece that swings across the ports and seals off the one you want closed. It is the only part that moves against a seal every time the handle turns, so it is the part that gives up first. The body itself, glued into the plumbing, usually outlives several diverters.
What replacing it fixes
Water bleeding through to a port that should be shut, a handle that turns without changing much, suction split between two lines that should be isolated. All of those point at the diverter rather than the valve.
