The Super Pro GO-KIT72 is a seal kit for Jandy Neverlube valves. It is an aftermarket kit made by Super Pro rather than a Jandy branded part, and it exists so a tired valve can be resealed instead of replaced.

When a valve needs it

Two things send people looking for this kit. The first is water weeping out around the handle or stem, which means the shaft seal has given up. The second is flow reaching a port the handle should have shut, which means something inside is no longer sealing against the seat.

What is and is not included

This is the rubber. The valve body, the diverter and the handle are all separate. That makes it right for a valve whose plastic is sound and whose seals have simply aged, and wrong for one with a cracked body or a chewed up diverter face, which needs replacing outright.

Before you start

Jandy has built more than one generation of diverter valve. Pull the handle off and compare what you find against the kit before you commit to having the system down. It is also worth having the pump off and the lines relieved, since a valve seal job is quick but only if nothing is under pressure.

Is this a genuine Jandy kit?
No. It is a Super Pro aftermarket kit, part number GO-KIT72, made to serve Jandy Neverlube valves. If you specifically want Jandy branded parts, order those separately.
What is in a seal kit like this?
It is the rubber for the valve. The body, diverter and handle are not included, so this is for a valve that is otherwise sound and has simply stopped sealing.
My valve leaks around the handle, is this the fix?
That is the usual reason people buy a seal kit. Weeping at the stem points at the shaft seal. If instead the valve passes water to a closed port, look at the diverter face as well, since a worn diverter will not be fixed by new rubber.
Do I have to cut the valve out of the plumbing?
No. A seal kit is meant to be fitted with the valve body left in the line, which is the whole reason to reseal rather than replace.
