Product details

This is the diverter repair kit for the Jacuzzi Carvin DV6 and DV7 backwash valves. It appears under two part numbers in our source, 39251509R and 39251509K, and both point at this kit.

The symptom it fixes

The diverter is the part inside the valve that decides where water goes. When its sealing surfaces wear, water finds its way into the backwash line even with the handle set to filter, and you see a steady run out of the waste line that never stops. That is lost water, lost chemistry and reduced flow through the filter.

What you get

It is supplied as a kit rather than a single seal, so the diverter is rebuilt properly in one visit. If the valve body is not cracked, this is the repair, and it costs a great deal less than a replacement valve.

Which valves does this kit fit?
The Jacuzzi Carvin DV6 and DV7 backwash valves.
Why are there two part numbers?
Our source lists this kit as 39251509R in one place and 39251509K in another. Both refer to the same diverter repair kit.
Water runs out of my backwash line while the valve is on filter. Is this the fix?
That is the symptom this kit addresses. When the diverter no longer seals, some of the flow escapes down the waste line instead of returning to the pool.
Do I have to replace the whole valve?
Usually not. If the valve body itself is sound, rebuilding the diverter with this kit restores the seal.
