Product details

The Hayward PSXVB is the replacement cover for the PSV series valve. It is the genuine Hayward part, the same cover fitted at the factory.

What the cover does

The cover closes the top of the valve body and holds pressure while the diverter turns underneath it. Because it sits in full sun and takes the load every time the valve is operated, it is usually the first part of the valve to fail. The symptom is water weeping from the top of the valve rather than from a pipe joint, and tightening the fasteners does not fix it.

Before you order

This is the cover on its own. The valve body, the diverter and the seals are all separate Hayward parts. Check the model marking on your valve body, since Hayward has produced several valve families and the covers are not interchangeable between them.
