The SuperPro 924 is a 7 inch spring loaded skimmer weir, also listed as 240007. It is the hinged flap that sits in the mouth of the skimmer.

Why the weir matters

Almost everything you want a skimmer to catch is floating in the top fraction of an inch of water. The weir sits at that level and forces the surface layer to speed up as it passes over the lip, which is what drags leaves, pollen and oils into the basket instead of letting them drift past.

The spring

The spring keeps the weir riding against the water as the level rises and falls, and closes it when the pump shuts down. That closing action is the part owners notice most: without it, a skimmer quietly returns its catch to the pool every time the system stops.

Before you order
