Product details
The SuperPro 926 is a 9 inch spring loaded skimmer weir, the hinged flap that sits in the skimmer throat. It is also listed under the number 240009.
How it works
With the pump running, the pull of water through the skimmer pushes the weir open and holds it there, which is what creates the thin fast surface layer that carries leaves and film into the basket. When the pump shuts off, the spring closes the flap. That closure is the part people overlook: it traps everything the skimmer collected instead of letting it float back out across the pool while the system is idle.
Fitting
The weir simply drops into the skimmer throat. Check the throat measurement first, because a weir that is the wrong size either binds against the walls or sits loose and never seals.

What does the spring do?
It holds the weir closed. Water flow from the running pump pushes it open, and when the pump shuts off the spring swings it back shut.
Why does the weir need to close?
Because whatever the skimmer has collected sits in the throat. If the flap stays open when the pump stops, that debris drifts straight back into the pool.
Will it fit my skimmer?
It is the 9 inch size. Measure the throat opening of your skimmer before ordering, since weirs are not interchangeable across sizes.
