Product details

The SuperPro B-43 is a replacement skimmer basket for Pac Fab skimmers, the line now sold under the Pentair name. It measures 7-1/4 inches across the top, 5-5/16 inches across the bottom and 4-5/8 inches tall.

Measure before you order

Skimmer baskets look alike and are not interchangeable. The top outside diameter is the one that matters, because it decides whether the basket sits in the skimmer throat or falls through. Pull the old basket, measure across the top rim, and check it against the 7-1/4 inch figure here.

Why a cracked basket is worth replacing

The skimmer basket is the first strainer in the system and the pump depends on it. Once the weave splits, leaves and hair go straight through to the pump basket and then to the impeller, where they cost you flow and eventually the pump. Baskets go brittle with sun and age, so a basket that cracks when you tap it is due whether or not it looks broken.

Will it fit my skimmer?
It is made for Pac Fab, now Pentair, skimmers. Measure across the top of your old basket. This one is 7-1/4 inches across the top and 4-5/8 inches tall.
Is this a genuine Pentair basket?
No. It is a SuperPro replacement basket made to the Pac Fab dimensions, part number B-43.
My basket is only cracked. Does it matter?
Yes. A cracked basket lets leaves and hair past into the pump, and the impeller and pump basket end up doing work the skimmer basket should have done.
Does it come with the skimmer lid?
No. This is the basket alone. Lids, weirs and collars are separate parts.
