Product details

The Aladdin B-213 is a replacement skimmer basket for Olympic above ground pool skimmers. It measures 6-1/8 inches across the top outside diameter, 4-1/8 inches across the bottom, and stands 3 inches tall.

About the legged version

This basket was once supplied with four legs on the bottom. That version is no longer available, and B-213 is the closest replacement now made. Owners replacing a legged original should expect the current basket to sit slightly differently in the skimmer body while doing the same job.

Why the basket earns its keep

The skimmer basket is the first filter in the system. Leaves, bugs and grit stop there instead of travelling on to the pump strainer. When the basket splits, that debris goes straight down the suction line, packs the pump pot and eventually reaches the impeller. Replacing a cracked basket is the cheapest maintenance on the pool.

My old basket had legs on the bottom. Is this the same?
Not exactly. The legged version of this basket is no longer made. B-213 is the closest current replacement, and it is what Olympic skimmer owners are directed to now.
