Quick overview
- Genuine Hayward part The factory SPX1090WMSG sealing gaskets, not generic cut foam.
- Two per pack An above ground skimmer sandwiches the liner between gaskets, so the pair comes together.
- The seal at the wall These gaskets are what stops pool water finding its way past the skimmer opening and down the outside of the wall.
- Replace both at once Even if only one looks bad, the pair has aged together and one new gasket against one old one rarely seals.
- Above ground skimmers Made for the face plate on an above ground pool skimmer.
- Cheap insurance at liner time If the liner is coming out, the gaskets get replaced while everything is apart.

Product details
These are the genuine Hayward SPX1090WMSG sealing gaskets for the face plate of an above ground pool skimmer, sold as a 2 pack.
Where they sit
An above ground skimmer bolts through the pool wall and the liner. A gasket goes on each side of that sandwich and the face plate screws pull the whole stack together. Those two gaskets are the only thing between the pool water and the outside of the wall, which is why they come as a pair.
When to change them
Gaskets take a permanent set and go hard with age and chlorine. The symptom is water running down the outside of the wall below the skimmer, or a water level that stops falling once it drops just below the skimmer mouth. Replace both, never one, and tighten the face plate evenly around the pattern so the gaskets compress flat.
