The Aquador 1010 is a face plate and cover for above ground pool skimmers, used to close the skimmer for winter. It suits the wide mouth skimmers fitted to Olympic, Trevi and Aqualeader pools.
Why it is used
Closing an above ground pool normally means dropping the water below the skimmer so the throat cannot take on ice. A skimmer plate and cover seals the opening instead, which keeps the water level up and keeps the liner supported through the cold months.

Above ground skimmer openings are not standardized. The outside measures 14-1/8 inches by 7-3/4 inches and the inside opening is 11-1/2 inches by 5-1/8 inches. Take a tape to your skimmer and compare both before you order, because a plate that is close but not right will not seal.
