The Hayward SP1085F is the snap on face plate cover for the SP1085 skimmer. It measures 18-1/2 inches by 8-7/8 inches and is molded in plastic, matching the original part.
What it does
The face plate covers the front of the skimmer where it meets the pool wall. It hides the flange, gives the opening a clean finished edge and protects the joint underneath. None of that matters until the plate is cracked or missing, at which point the skimmer looks unfinished and the edge is exposed.
Fitting it
It snaps into place, so there is no hardware and no draining. Measure your old plate first: Hayward built several skimmer families and the face plates are not interchangeable between them.
