Product details
The Hydra HG115 is the vacuum adapter for Aqua Genie in-ground skimmers. It is the plate that sits in the skimmer and gives the vacuum hose a sealed connection, so the pump draws through the vacuum head rather than through the open skimmer.
Why it fails
Adapters live in a wet, sunlit box that people reach into with a hose in one hand. They crack at the edges, warp, or simply go missing. Once the seal is gone, the vacuum head skids across the floor without picking anything up and the obvious suspects, the pump and the filter, get blamed for it.
