The Aqua Genie HG130 is the replacement skimmer basket for Aqua Genie in-ground pool skimmers.
What the basket does
Everything the surface skimmer pulls in has to pass through this basket first. Leaves, twigs and bugs get held here, where they are easy to tip out, instead of travelling down the suction line to the pump. A basket that has cracked or split lets that debris through, and the next thing to catch it is the pump strainer or the impeller.
Fitting
The basket drops into the skimmer throat in place of the old one. Baskets are shaped to a specific skimmer, so order by the Aqua Genie number HG130 rather than by eye.
