The Waterway 560-D3C60L is the Flo-Pro II above-ground skimmer in white, in the long throat wide-mouth configuration with a return, plumbed with 1-1/2 inch FPT connections.

Wide mouth and long throat

The wide-mouth opening pulls in surface debris across a broader span than a standard throat, which matters on a pool where leaves collect faster than one narrow opening can take them. The long throat is the taller version of the passage through the wall, so it suits installations where the standard reach comes up short. Waterway builds a short throat version of the same skimmer if that is what you are replacing.

Connections

Both connections are 1-1/2 inch female pipe thread, the usual above-ground size, and this configuration includes the return alongside the suction side.

What size are the connections?

What is the difference between long throat and short throat?
The throat is the section that carries the opening down through the pool wall. The long throat version reaches further, which is what some above-ground wall heights and liner arrangements require. Waterway also makes a short throat version of this skimmer.
