The Hayward SP1091LX is a complete above ground pool skimmer in white. It is sold as a package rather than a bare body, with the inlet fitting, return jet and vacuum plate all included.
What you get
All stainless steel hardware, the vacuum adapter, a complete return fitting with eyeball, two gasket sets, two hose adapters stepping 1-1/4 inch up to 1-1/2 inch, the skimmer basket, the weir flap door and the top cover. It replaces the SP1090, SP1091ES and SP1095ES.
How it is built
The body is a molded ABS unibody with no submerged joints, which is the detail that matters most on an above ground skimmer. A joint below the water line is a future leak. The material is non corrosive and non conductive.
The weir and the profile
A smooth contoured body works with the patented weir to pull debris in more completely than a flat fronted design. The low profile shape also gives more flexibility on how high the skimmer sits, which helps when a deck or ledge limits where it can go.
