Quick overview

  • Wide mouth intake The Flo-Pro II mouth is wider than a standard skimmer throat, so leaves and debris draw in instead of collecting on the water line.
  • Short throat body The short throat version, sized for above ground walls rather than an in ground wall section.
  • Return included The kit is the skimmer with its return, so the intake and the return side of the wall go in together.
  • 1-1/2 inch FPT ports Female pipe thread connections at 1-1/2 inch, the common size for above ground plumbing.
  • Gray finish Gray body to match gray trimmed above ground pools.
  • Genuine Waterway Waterway Plastics part 560-C3C67L, the factory assembly.

Product details

The Waterway 560-C3C67L is the Flo-Pro II wide mouth skimmer in the short throat configuration, supplied with its return, in gray. It is the through the wall skimmer for an above ground pool, with 1-1/2 inch FPT connections.

Why the wide mouth matters

Surface skimming is only as good as the opening. A narrow throat lets floating leaves drift past and gather on the water line, while the wider Flo-Pro II mouth pulls that material into the basket where the pump can move it. On an above ground pool with no gutter or overflow, that opening is doing all of the surface work.

What is in the box

This part number is the skimmer plus the return, so the intake side and the return side of the wall go in together. The short throat body is the above ground version. Check that your existing plumbing is 1-1/2 inch before ordering, since that is the thread size on this skimmer.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Is this for an above ground pool?
Yes. It is the Flo-Pro II short throat above ground skimmer, made to mount through an above ground pool wall.
What size are the connections?
1-1/2 inch FPT, female pipe thread, on the skimmer.
Does the return come with it?
Yes. This version is supplied with the return, so you get both wall fittings in one part number.
What does the wide mouth change?
A wider intake opening pulls floating leaves and debris in more readily than a narrow throat, which keeps the surface clearer between cleanings.
