Waterway Crystal Water Cartridge Pool Filter, 425 sq ft, 570-0425-07

The Waterway Crystal Water is a 425 square foot cartridge pool filter with an NSF flow rate of 150 GPM, enough to turn over 72,000 gallons in an eight hour cycle.

Four cartridges, not one

The filter uses the industry proven quad element layout. Splitting the media across four cartridges makes each one light enough to lift out on its own and spreads the dirt load, which is what lets the filter run longer between cleaning cycles than a single element of the same total area.

Tank and hardware

The body is fiberglass reinforced polypropylene, chosen for strength and chemical resistance. Internal piping is 2-1/2 in., and the filter comes with 2-1/2 in. valve bulkhead unions plus 2 in. and 1-1/2 in. reducers so it plumbs into existing pipe. A heavy duty tamper proof clamp with its own removal tool closes the tank, a stainless steel pressure gauge with a Start-Service dial reads the pressure, and a 1-1/2 in. bottom clean-out port drains the tank.

Cartridge now, D.E. later

The same tank converts to a D.E. filter by changing the internals, so the choice of media is not locked in at purchase. The filter carries a multi handle design for lifting and is NSF listed.
