The Hayward IDXLBKP1135 is the bezel and keypad assembly for the Hayward HS135 pool heater. It is the genuine Hayward part, supplied as one unit.

What it covers

The bezel is the face of the heater control, and the keypad is the set of buttons in it. They come together as a single assembly, so a cracked or sun damaged bezel and a worn keypad are both handled by one part.

The symptom

Keypads wear out because they are the part everybody touches. Buttons stop responding, or need a harder and harder press, or work only sometimes. Before replacing a control board, it is worth checking whether the keypad is the thing that has failed.
