The Hayward IDXTST1930 is the replacement thermostat for H-Series above ground pool heaters. It is the genuine Hayward part.

What the thermostat does

The thermostat is the control that reads water temperature and decides when the heater should fire and when it should stop. Everything else in the heater responds to that signal, so when the thermostat drifts or fails, the heater behaves as though something larger is wrong. Water that runs hotter or colder than the setpoint, or a heater that cycles at the wrong points, usually traces back here.

Before you order

This is the above ground H-Series thermostat. The in ground H-Series heaters use different control parts, so check the model plate on your unit first. Replacement is a control panel job and does not disturb the heat exchanger or the gas train.
