Product details

The Hayward FDXLPRM1930 is the polymer return manifold for Universal H-Series and Low NOx FD Series pool heaters. It is the genuine Hayward replacement part.

What the manifold does

Water enters the heater through the inlet manifold, passes through the heat exchanger and leaves through the return manifold. The return side sees the hottest water in the heater, and the manifold has to hold pressure at that temperature every time the heater fires.

When to replace it

Repeated heating and cooling eventually tells on the polymer. A manifold that has hairline cracked, or is weeping at a joint that no longer seals with fresh o-rings, is replaced rather than repaired. This part covers the return side only.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Which heaters does this manifold fit?
Hayward Universal H-Series heaters and Low NOx FD Series heaters.
Is this the inlet or the return manifold?
The return manifold, part number FDXLPRM1930. The inlet side is a separate Hayward part.
Is it a genuine Hayward part?
Yes. It is the Hayward OEM polymer return manifold.
Why would a manifold need replacing?
Years of heating and cooling cycles work on the polymer, and a manifold that has cracked or is weeping at a joint will not seal again. Replacing it is the repair.
