Product details

Hayward HAXNIP1930 is the pair of CPVC flange pipe nipples used on H-Series pool heaters. They are the short flanged pipes that carry water between the heater header and the plumbing unions.

Why they fail

These nipples sit at the hottest, most stressed point in the heater plumbing and they take the strain every time a union is tightened. Cracks usually show up at the flange face, and the first symptom is a weep that only appears once the heater is up to temperature.

Sold as a pair

The part number covers both nipples, which suits the way the job actually goes: the inlet and outlet sides are the same age and have seen the same heat, so replacing both at once avoids a second trip. The o-ring set and union nuts for these joints are separate Hayward parts.
