Product details
The Hayward HAXPLT1932 is the genuine pilot for H-Series millivolt pool heaters running on propane.
Match the fuel and the control system
Two things have to line up before this is the right part. It is the propane version, so natural gas heaters need a different Hayward pilot. And it is for millivolt heaters, the ones whose gas valve is powered by the pilot flame itself rather than by a control board. Check the data plate on your heater if you are not sure which you have.
What it does
On a millivolt heater the standing pilot does double duty. It carries the flame that lights the main burners, and it heats the sensing device that keeps the gas valve open. When the pilot orifice fouls or the assembly fails, the heater either will not light at all or lights and then shuts down within seconds.
