Product details

The Praher E-50-S1 is a 1-1/2 inch key cover assembly in white, sold as an aftermarket replacement for the Pentair key cover assembly used on SM-10-2 and SM-10-3 valves.

What it replaces

The key cover is the top plate of a multiport valve: it holds the handle, carries the port label, and keeps the diverter loaded correctly against the valve seat. A cracked cover, a stripped handle mount or a label worn illegible are all reasons to replace it, and the assembly is a cheaper repair than a whole valve.

Two things to know before ordering

First, the label fitted to this cover is the sand filter version. If your valve is on a DE filter the cover itself fits and operates correctly, but the printed positions read in reverse, so set the valve by what it is doing rather than by the label. Second, the source notes that color may vary and that stock is sometimes supplied in black, so the white finish is not guaranteed.
