The Hayward SPX2607C is the genuine impeller for 3/4 HP full rate and 1 HP max rate pumps. It is fitted across the Super Pump, Super II, Power-Flo II and Leslie Hydramax above ground families.
Rating matters
An impeller is cut for a specific horsepower. Fitting the wrong one either starves the pump or overloads the motor, so match the 3/4 HP full rate and 1 HP max rate designation to the plate on your motor rather than to the pump body. Two pumps that look identical from the outside can take different impellers.
Symptoms of a worn impeller
Weak flow at the returns while the motor sounds and draws normally is the classic sign. So is a pump that has swallowed something and never fully recovered its prime. Debris packed into the vanes chokes the passage, and once the vane edges are worn round the impeller cannot make pressure however clean it is.
Plan the job
The shaft seal comes off to reach the impeller and it does not go back on. Order the seal with the impeller, look at the impeller ring while the pump is apart, and you will only open the wet end once.
