⌄The Hayward SPX1607Z1M is a 1 HP single phase replacement motor with a threaded shaft, wired for 115 or 230 volts at 60 cycles. It fits the Hayward Max-Flo, Super Pump and Super II.
What to know before ordering
The motor is built by Century, a Regal brand. Because of DOE energy efficiency regulations it may be replaced with the compatible SP26110Z1MEG, so do not be surprised if that part number arrives instead.
California
This motor does not meet the California Energy Commission Title 20 efficiency standard for pool pumps and replacement motors. It cannot be sold or installed in California. Century makes CEC compliant alternatives in its V-Green EVO range, the EVC130, EVC165, EVC225, EVQ130, EVQ165 and EVQ225.
Finish the job
A motor swap opens the pump wet end, so plan on a new shaft seal and gaskets. Rebuild kits for the Super Pump, Max-Flo and Super II are sold separately.
