This part is described two ways in our source. The listing title puts it on Super Pump SP1600X series pumps. The manufacturer description puts it on Max-Flo SP1800X and SP2800X and Super II SP3000X series pumps. We have carried both readings here rather than picking one. Before ordering, read the data plate on the motor you are removing and confirm the pump model, horsepower, voltage and frame.

What a motor swap involves

The motor drives the impeller through a threaded shaft, and the seal between the two is a wear item that gets disturbed the moment the wet end comes apart. Plan on a new shaft seal, and inspect the housing gasket and the diffuser while everything is open. Fitting a new motor to a tired seal is the most common reason a rebuilt pump starts weeping a week later.

Electrical

The motor is rated for 115 V or 230 V at 60 Hz. Wiring and voltage selection should be done by a qualified electrician, and the breaker should be off before anything is opened at the pad.
