Product details

The Hayward SPX2615CKIT rebuilds the drive train of a 2 HP Super Pump in one order. Inside the box are the motor mounting plate, seal plate, mechanical seal, impeller, diffuser and diffuser o-ring: all of the pump internals that sit between the motor and the strainer housing.

Why buy the kit

These parts wear together. A shaft seal that has been leaking usually means a scored seal plate, and a tired impeller drags the diffuser with it. Replacing the set restores flow and stops the leak without a second round of parts, and it is the sensible companion to a new motor.

Fit

The kit is for 2 HP Super Pumps in the SP1600, SP1600X, SP2600 and SP2600X series. Other horsepower ratings use their own kits, so check the motor label before ordering. The housing, strainer basket and strainer cover gasket are not part of this kit.

Does the kit include the pump housing or strainer basket?
No. It covers the drive train only: mounting plate, seal plate, mechanical seal, impeller, diffuser and diffuser o-ring. The housing, basket and strainer cover gasket are separate parts.
Is a motor included?
No. The kit supplies the parts that mount to a motor, which makes it a natural companion to a motor replacement, but the motor itself is sold separately.
Which horsepower is this for?
2 HP. Hayward makes matching kits for other Super Pump horsepower ratings, so check the label on your motor before ordering.
When is a drive train kit the right fix?
A leaking shaft seal, a worn or broken impeller, a cracked seal plate, or any time you are fitting a new motor and want fresh wear parts behind it.
