Product details

The Hayward SPX2615C is the genuine impeller for Super Pump and Super II pumps, rated 2 HP max rate and 1-1/2 HP full rate. It fits Super Pump models SP1600, SP1600X, SP2600 and SP2600X and Super II models SP3000 and SP3000X, including the Heldor EZ-Flo.

Match the horsepower

Hayward builds a different impeller for each horsepower in the range, and they look similar enough to be mixed up. Fitting the wrong one leaves the pump underperforming or overloads the motor. Read the label on your motor and match the rating rather than going by the shape of the old part.

Why impellers get replaced

The impeller is the piece that actually moves the water. Vanes thin out over the years, and the narrow passages inside pack with hair, grit and small debris that a torn basket let through. Either way the pump keeps running while flow and filter pressure quietly fall. Since the impeller comes off over the shaft seal, most people fit a new seal assembly at the same time.

How do I know this is the right impeller for my pump?
Impellers are horsepower specific. This one is the 2 HP max rate and 1-1/2 HP full rate version, so read the horsepower on the motor label and match it before ordering.
Which pumps does it fit?
Hayward Super Pump models SP1600, SP1600X, SP2600 and SP2600X, and Super II models SP3000 and SP3000X including the Heldor EZ-Flo.
Do I need anything else to fit it?
The impeller threads onto the motor shaft over the shaft seal. It is normal practice to replace the seal assembly whenever the impeller comes off, since the old seal rarely reseats well.
What are the signs of a worn impeller?
Weak return flow, low filter pressure and a pump that seems to run fine but moves less water. Vanes wear thin or the passages pack with debris, and both cut output.
